What is Stepmonster?
Stepmonster is a virtual rock band, that i created. It is composed by Ash Lucas, the main singer and guitarist, Gloria the bassist, Beth the drummer, and Sam, a new guitarist that appears only after the second album is launched.
People will know Stepmonster characters by seeing the cartoon. Every season of the toon is based on an album of the band. The first season shows Ash creating the band by Beth' side and calling Gloria to join them. In the second season, Stepmonster is a well-know band already, and after Pop-Punk Art, the first album, Wikiaholic is launched and the band get a new member: Sam. The cartoon shows the band's life and the relationships between the characters. It is a little bit mature cartoon, not a childish cartoon, but it doesn't means it is serious, neither a humor cartoon. They're just humans and the toon show them the
Music Videos
Stepmonster music videos tend to be very surreal, dramatic and has a little of humor. The scenarios are always different and there's always much body language and different costumes. Stepmonster music video are cartoons, so it would be a waste to create a animation showing just some guys playing, they're as extravagant as Lady Gaga's videos.
Live Performances
Despite Stepmonster being a virtual band, Gloria, Beth and Sam doesn't exist... So in the stage decoration there not any clue of the virtual musicians... There, the stars are the real musicians! Stepmonster stage has it owns decoration motifs, such as: coloured candles, lots of hanging plush dolls, a big screen showing different scenes, a different color of light for each song and securities wearing doll dresses or a bear costume...
Albuns
Stepmonster's album booklet are purely art, so you won't be seeing stupid photos of the members on it or worst... stupid cover with a photo of the members or a stupid logo... Every cover is a different work of art...
Pop-Punk-Art cover is a apple with a knife stuck in, in a white background. The booklet show pages with note book notes and drawings made by me, much like IT. Wikiaholic cover show a golden scales with a bible in on of the sides and a videogame on another. The background of this cover is the space, dark blue with all those stars, you know...
Merchandising
I want Stepmonster to appear, not just as a cartoon and a real band, but as many products, such as: plush dolls, action figures, clothes, books and another toys...
